Grad Night at SRVHS is a fun tradition that we want every senior to enjoy! While we don't want to give away TOO many surprises, here is a general plan of the event to help your family decide if Grad Night is right for your student:
Duration: Grad Night starts right after graduation on June 6th and lasts all night until 5AM. Students can leave anytime as long as an adult picks up.
Location: Held in the Commons, Commons Quad, Main Quad and PAC
Noise activity / level:
- Two stages outside with music and/or other activities occurring simultaneously
- The Commons is generally quite full and noisy
- A quiet space where students can decompress away from some (but not all) of the noise will be available
Activities:
- A variety of activities including an arcade, spa, casino and craft area in the Commons
- Outside there will be more interactive activities, possibly including some large inflatable obstacle-type games
- Dancing, movies and karaoke outside
- The evening always ends with the students gathering in the PAC for the popular hypnotist act
Food:
- Several dinner choices and a variety of snacks are served throughout the evening
- If it is important for your student to bring their own food, please let us know so that we can find a way to accommodate
Accommodations:
We want your student to be as comfortable as possible and excited for Grad Night! The following accommodations are available for students:
- Priority entry into the event to avoid the lines and crowd
- Students can be accompanied by an adult if pre-arranged with the Grad Night Special Needs Chair. PTSA will also pay for paras to attend to accompany students if requested and available. Up to four students may be paired with a para.
- If needed, we will let students in early and provide a short tour to familiarize them with the event. Please contact the Grad Night Special Needs Chair.
Please complete this Google Form as well as the Waiver & Code of Conduct form (appears after placing ticket in the cart).
Suggested Donation - $125: We recognize that Grad Night may be a lot for some of our students with IEPs and they may only attend for part of the event. Instead of the flat ticket price, the pricing is a suggested donation to allow flexibility. If there is a financial hardship, please contact the Grad Night Special Needs Chair.
We want Grad Night to be a memorable and positive experience! We can answer any questions to help you and your student decide if they want to attend Grad Night. If there is anything else we can do to help ensure they have an amazing time, please ask! Suggestions welcome!
